EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
John often acts as a Mediator/ Arbitrator, Peace-maker & a Global-Connector of various academics, business leaders, and governmental circles. He has been actively engaged in the Asia Pacific, Gulf & MENA Region as well as West African region in co-founding and initiating multiple academic, corporate, entrepreneurial, policy and related partnerships/ projects. He is a regular speaker at public forums and academic conferences and possesses extensive global experiences in academic, corporate, entrepreneurial, governmental and other settings at the most senior positions.
His personal and professional network expands across the world in parallel projects engaging with global community on a weekly basis, with over 300 ‘flight sectors’ in the last 12 months or so alone across Asia, Gulf, Africa, Europe, USA & China. He usually is picked for the so called ‘impossible and extreme’ jobs and when required under extreme pressure conditions is physically capable of continuing to work for 2-3 days at a stretch with no sleep and travel in and out globally with no jet lag. Throughout his life he has made ‘friends with multiple failures’ and developed an extreme level of mental capacity to stand against so called ‘inhuman’ corporate, academic, social and other contexts – always envisioning the ‘learning opportunity’ in every problem/challenge positively.
Born on the 3rd December 1973 to a Buddhist Sinhalese father and a second-generation European descendant Roman Catholic mother in Sri Lanka; and as the eldest son of a large family business group operating in Sri Lanka, Japan, Australia, Gulf and several other parts of the world; John was originally destined to lead a family business group: Meewella Group and Seeview Group. He wrote his first individual Life Plan at the age of 9, which has today turned into 11 column and 28 row Life Plan. John has always been known as crazy, innovative, risk taking, daring, bold, extremist, living life at bleeding edge … and many other similar remarks. What you hear, see and feel about him is exactly what you get and at 40 now, he definitely has lived up to those expectations and does not know the meaning of giving up. John has unlimited amounts of energy, passion, perseverance, persistence and does not believe in second best in anything – in striving to be the best he can be in everything he does in life.

In 2002 Mikko got fired from Sonera after the management did some very bad deals in Germany. He decided to find work opportunities outside Finland and got a job in Bangladesh. Unfortunately he was again fired from his job. This time before he even arrived in Bangladesh! A world record. But from that unlucky incident many good things started. Including several companies. In 2010 Mikko decided to go to try his luck in Africa and got involved with sports and media. Life takes him to places, and he doesn’t resist it. Not a single bit! He dreams of changing the world using entrepreneurship and business as a weapon of mass change. Today he wants to put all the things he has ever learned on his very unusual entrepreneurial journey into good use and for others to benefit from through John Meewella Sales Army concept.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Mikko is a perfect example of an entrepreneur John likes to talk about. Fearless and passionate in whatever challenge he decides to take. Mikko has M.Sc in Computer Engineering from the University of Oulu, but degrees don’t make anybody an entrepreneur. Life teaches you to be one when you decide to leave your comfort zone and take yourself towards unknown.
Mikko considers himself a writer and an observer of humanity. He certainly is an innovator and even more an initiator of concrete and impactful projects. Such as John Meewella Sales Army. Over the years he has started up a lot of companies in different markets and tried to inspire others to follow his example. Somebody called him a one man business accelerator. Sports, technology and media have proven to be an enjoyable combination for him and an excellent foundation to build a truly global network. Because if anything, Mikko is a connector of people, businesses and purposes.
